The Des Moines Gay Men's Chorus and Girls Rock! of Des Moines is thrilled to invite you and your students to the third annual Non-Audition Pride Choir: Pride Youth Festival located at Windsor Presbyterian.

We would love for your students to band together on June 5th and join our Pride honor choir to learn Music That Matters. Whether they are an ally or a member of the community, we want to kick off Pride Month with joy! We will work together to learn music that identifies with LGBTQIA+ students in the community and perform them at the end of the day. 

The pride chorus will be directed by Mrs. Ashley Maiers of Earlham JH and HS. If you don't have the pleasure knowing her, now is your chance! She is one of the most welcoming and inspirational people I have had the pleasure of working with. Your students will love working with her for the afternoon. 

Graduating 8th grade through Graduating 12th grade students are welcome to register. Please register by Thursday, May 29.

What to know:

• Dress Comfortably

• Eat lunch before you come

• Where: Windsor Presbyterian 6301 University Ave, Windsor Heights, IA 50324

• Rehearsal: 12:30 PM-5:00 PM

• Dinner and conversation: 5:00-6:00 PM: Community who support you and want to be there for you! Teachers, parents, and community are welcome to join!

• Change into concert attire: 6:00-6:30 PM (Wear your concert pride gear!)

• Concert: 6:30-7:00 PM
